Vision Statement

Sensational Kids! will be the premier center in the CSRA for 

• Innovative rehabilitative services to infants and children within a culture of inclusive spiritual values; 
• A best-practice model for integrating these services with supportive and faith-based family counseling;
• An active contributor to building research evidence for pediatric rehabilitation practices; and
• The leader in continuing education and mentorship programs for pediatric therapists, educators, families, and other direct care providers to children with disabilities or other differences.

Mission Statement

Sensational Kids Pediatric Rehabilitation and Counseling exists to offer the highest level of current, evidence-based therapeutic knowledge and skills in pediatric rehabilitative care, as well as quality professional counseling and assessment.

We are here not only to serve infants, children and their families, but to enhance the quality of services of all dedicated professionals in the CSRA who care about, and for these families.  This is accomplished by the planning and provision of regular and affordable continuing professional education courses, as well as education and training opportunities for parents.

Finally, realizing that we have an obligation to our clients, our professions, and to health care in general, we strive to contribute to the research-based evidence of the efficacy of the therapeutic procedures that we utilize.  We do this by designing our evaluation and intervention documentation systems to collect quantitative and qualitative information that enables us to measure their effectiveness.  We then share these findings with our colleagues through papers, workshops, and publications.
